2006 Leadership Conference

Region of Virginias Leadership Conference

The American Institute of Architects Region of the Virginias Leadership Conference was held August 18^th through the 20^th at the Williamsburg Inn in Historic Williamsburg.   Attending were AIA Blue Ridge Chapter members Helene Combs Dreiling, FAIA president of VSAIA, Peyton Boyd, AIA VSAIA 150 Champion, John Bush, AIA, President AIA Blue Ridge and Director VSAIA, Jeffery Parkhill, AIA Past President AIA Blue Ridge and V.P. VSAIA, Joyce VanGilder, Assoc. AIA, AIA Blue Ridge 150 Champion, Mark McConnel, AIA and William R. White, AIA, Treasure of AIA Blue Ridge.

The conference is an annual event that brings together the AIA Chapters of Virginia and West Virginia.  This year�s topics and work sessions included planning AIA 150 events to mark the 150^th anniversary of the founding of the American Institute of Architects, the future and direction of sustainable design, the role the Architect as well as discussion about emerging professionals and intern development.
