Continuing Education: Poplar Forest Lecture

AIA Blue Ridge is pleased to announce our latest Continuing Education and networking opportunity.  On 02 MAR 2017, Travis McDonald – Director of Architectural Restoration at Thomas Jefferson’s Poplar Forest – will present an evening lecture entitled “Jefferson’s Poplar Forest and its Roots in Palladian Architecture.”

The event will take place at the Bedford Area Welcome Center and includes a casual networking hour with fellow AIA members and local vendors, the lecture, and the opportunity to continue the conversations over dinner afterward.  Jefferson’s legacy looms large in the Commonwealth, and we are excited to hear about how the ongoing restoration efforts at Poplar Forest are expanding our understanding of this most famous of American architects.
