Middle School Design Charrette, 14 APR 2018
AIA Blue Ridge will be hosting the fourth annual Saturday Charrette on Saturday April 14th from 10 am – 6pm in Cowgill Hall on the Virginia Tech campus. Creative, driven and dynamic student candidates from grades 6, 7, and 8 compete in a design charrette. These students have been recommended by their teachers and will be placed in small groups, each assigned to a regional architect and Virginia Tech student advisors. These groups will develop a design solution, build a model, and present their ideas to a panel of judges. The winner will be announced and awarded recognition.
This is a great opportunity to engage and mentor young designers (both from middle school and from Virginia Tech), so volunteer today as a design mentor or judge using the contact form below.
