Save the Date for the 2026 Blue Ridge Design + Honor Awards Gala

AIA Blue Ridge recognizes the outstanding design by practitioners and students in our region from the last ten years. We welcome submissions of built and unbuilt projects for our biannual Design + Honor Awards in a variety of categories: Architecture, Design for Context, Extended Use, Interiors, Small Projects, and Student work. The Design + Honor Awards Committee encourages design project entries in a variety of sizes, building types, and styles.

THE JURY

A committee of esteemed architects and designers from AIA Triangle was selected to jury the 2026 Design Award submissions. The Jury will be chaired by Dennis Stallings, FAIA. Click on their headshots below to learn more about each of the jury members.

DESIGN + HONOR AWARDS GALA

The 2026 Design + Honor Awards will be presented on the evening of Thursday September 17, 2026 at our 2022 Honor Award winner, The Virginian Railway Station.

We'll kick things off at 5:30 with drinks and a tour of the AIA Blue Ridge member-designed venue and 2022 BR Honor Award Recipient, the historic Virginian Railway Station. A cocktail style dinner reception will begin at 6:00 and we'll celebrate our award winners with remarks from the Jury at 7:00.
